Because if they don't they should. Hell, my cell phone has GPS and can be tracked anywhere. I don't get this? Something doesn't seem right here.

1. That costs money
And if it's the kind of money that isn't ending up into the coffers of the BFEE, then there is no reason for the BFEE to support it.

3. When the White House could profit from supplying our troops up with
GPS...THAT'S when our troops will get them.

4. The regime doesn't even provide them with proper armor
Do you expect them to provide navigation or some form of finding them?

6. I imagine that equipment is taken from them.
Insurgents want body armor and equipment.

7. It's probably in the works as we speak:
The notorious VeriChip is reportedly lobbying the Defense Department to implant RFID tags in soldiers as a replacement for dog tags, according to news reports.

12. My snowboard pants have such a device sewn right in.
And I paid less than $100 for them.

Too bad we aren't fighting in Siberia. Or Whistler.

13. A broadcast device?
That would be silly. It would be detected and removed. How are you going to hide a device with enough power to broadcast its location any meaningful distance?

Ok, suppose you did come up with such a device. It would work about once. After that the insurgents would just not take prisoners.

16. uhh
I don't know if I like that. Where there is electronics, there is a capacity to be hacked. Imagine having insurgents/rebels/whatever you want to call them being able to pinpoint where every single US soldier is
