Candidate Obama was quite honest and transparent in the campaign that he would end their tax cuts; it's not like what he is proposing here is anything new or a reversal of policy.

And as it turned out, these folks voted for him anyway. Evidently, their Bush tax cuts were not all that important to them, or perhaps they didn't want them in the first place. Look at how well Obama did in high income counties like Marin, CA, Westchester, NY and Fairfax, VA for just a few examples.

Yes, we will hear a lot of very loud squawking in the coming weeks from rich Republicans (who never supported Obama in the first place), and other naive bozos who still live in Ronald Reagan's 1981 fantasy world of trickle down economics, but remember that most well to do folks appear to be willing to give up their Bush taxcuts.

1. Parents of my daughter's friend voted for Obama
I don't know how much money they make, but they PAID $500,000 in taxes. The mother told me that. They are not Republicans.

2. Proof that being rich doesn't make you a Republican.
Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, and George Soros are living proof.

3. The loud squawking comes from repug reps + senators,
NOT from 'rich' constituents, imo, who are much smarter and know how to do business.
