I'll probably get flamed for this, but I have to ask.
Last night on Dateline, there was a single young Ohio woman who had 3 children, age 3, 2, and one. She got pregnant with her first child when she was a high school junior, second when she was a senior, and the third, I guess, the year after.
She wasn't getting any financial help from any of the fathers.
The news correspondent asked her, "Did everyone ever talk to you about birth control?"
Her answer: "Yeah, but, one thing leads to another and you do have accidents, you know."
I know times are very hard, and I sympathize with poor people. But it seems that after one--or for sure after two--unplanned children, and she's not getting any financial help, and living in poverty, that she'd be motivated to get some birth control.
