1. Did you order that code red?? Did you order that code red?
You don't need a patch on your arm to be a man!

Why didn't the Marine pack his bags just hours before he was to leave the Island? We'll get back to that.

If your orders are always carried out to the letter and you ordered that no one was to harm the Marine, why did he need protection?

5. Wow!
This is big. REALLY BIG. For all intents and pruposes, the White House fired the Tom Cruise character in "A Few Good Men". For basically doing the same type of excellent work his character was doing in the movie.

Getting this MAINSTREAM would help enable the general public to comprehend just how heinous this White House really is!

Wow! Big, very big! I did not know this!

this is so big.

big, you know.

If I'm a Republican in Washington I would stay away from Tom Cruise -- and I would never let him play me in a movie, ever. He invades their lives and causes bad things to happen to them. Hey, maybe Scientology is real after all.

11. I didn't think Nicholson was good for that part.
I'm a huge fan of Jack....He played the devil perfectly in Witches of Eastwick but he wasn't believable as a Marine full-bird Colonel......

13. I guess I should have qualified it by saying my opinion is.......
......based on my experience dealing with a full-bird Marine Colonel.

Don't get me wrong, I think Jack is the best but there is a certain mannerism you pick up from 20 plus years active duty. He was good - he played angry Jack....he just didn't sell me on the Marine thing.......I don't think he tried.

When I first saw R. Lee Emery in Full Metal Jacket, I knew he was a Marine - not an actor.

14. A mixed two cents worth
I thought Jack Nicholson was awesome in the movie, but I do agree with you, I never ran into a real Marine Colonel who "acted" like that. However, his smarminess added to the fiction. On the other hand, the LCOL (his XO) was more the "real" Marine. Kiefer Sutherland was a little off the wall as a "Marine." Still one of my favorites, we watch it about once a year and I aggravate my wife by mouthing just about every body's lines.
