because as witnessed from the Iranian British capture, the Keyboard Commandos simply can't stand "cowards" like that.

1. Sadly, I doubt they're alive. At least for their sakes, I hope they're not.

I hope the end was quick. It's a hard thing to think about.

Edit to add: God bless and comfort their poor families.

2. I doubt they are alive
I hope their deaths were quick, but I really doubt it. My guess is that videos of their beheadings will be available on line before to long. And I'd like to echo another poster in saying it hurts to even think about.

4. But then
Maybe they will show them safe and well and not like the US has done to many of our captives. The US today doesn't reflect the pride and dignity I grew up loving and other countries see that too. You reap what you sow.

15. I'm saying that since this war started---over 600,000 have been killed
with a good majority killed by us. Now--- do you think that that many would have been killed if we had not invaded?--- So yeah---the blood is on our hands. What---you don't agree with that?

16. Not to mention the 500,000 children during the 90's
under the UN embargo. That would put the US over the 1 million mark.

5. Al-Qaida: Stop Search for U.S. Soldiers
Published: 5/14/07, 4:25 PM EDT
By THOMAS WAGNER
BAGHDAD (AP) - An al-Qaida front group that claims it has captured American soldiers warned the United States on Monday to stop searching for them and suggested it attacked the U.S. convoy as revenge for the rape and murder of a local teenager last year.

The U.S. military also said for the first time it believes the three missing soldiers were abducted by al-Qaida-linked militants after an attack that included three roadside bombs.

"What you are doing in searching for your soldiers will lead to nothing but exhaustion and headaches. Your soldiers are in our hands. If you want their safety, do not look for them," the Islamic State of Iraq said on a militant Web site.

"You should remember what you have done to our sister Abeer in the same area," the statement said, referring to five American soldiers who were charged in the rape and killing of 14-year-old Abeer Qassim al-Janabi and the killings of her parents and her younger sister last year.

rape them then get arrested by their own command and put on trial for said rape and murder?

12. After the Haditha Massacre/Abu Ghraib Scandal/WillyP on Fallujah, expect no mercy for these soldiers

Even then, it's not likely they would've been spared anyway. That bridge was crossed the day the US invaded.
