It is very odd to suddenly be so popular. After almost a solid
two years of being told no one wanted my vote, my issues don't matter, and I should join another party , all of a sudden my vote is being courted! Reasons to vote Democratic are being hurled at me and outright begging has begun in some instances. Not to fear, I am a Democrat. I always have been, although an undervalued one.I always will vote democratic but it is nice to suddenly feel wanted. I wonder what has brought about the change?

That's the only time the varmints want to communicate with us common folk.

4. Your vote is being courted but your issues still don't matter..
It's like a shell game that doesn't even have a pea in the first place.

all aflutter,. . . then you must be really easy.

glitch in my remake of my website. Perhaps I was in too literal a mood.

12. The "irrelevant" left is suddenly relevant and dangerous.
Deserving of both courting and threats.

“Now, the man on the stand he wants my vote,
He's a-runnin' for office on the ballot note.
He's out there preachin' in front of the steeple,
Tellin' me he loves all kinds-a people.
(He's eatin' bagels
He's eatin' pizza
He's eatin' chitlins
He's eatin' bullshit!)”

15. You've become dangerous.
Evidently, your vote might mean something after all, and it's suddenly important that you stick with the party. Until the day after election day.

Amazing how that works. Cycles around more regularly than a period.

23. Ya never know, maybe this time they will mean it.
Or the time after that.

Or the time after that.

Hell, by 2028, they will probably have conceded on one or two or maybe even three of the things I want.

I am pretty sure they intend on giving me my pony - I just am not sure as to when?!?

Edited on Sat Jul-31-10 08:27 PM by UTUSN
* Seldom has my first choice in the primaries been the nominee, yet I have invariably shifted gears and gone all out for the nominee.

* The few (less than 5) times I have ever contacted the government officials supposedly representing me to ask that they take a certain policy position or --Zeus forfend!1 ask for action in a personal issue ---- I have NEVER gotten what I asked for. And except for one thing, the requests have not been for my personal/individual benefit.

* I have never been polled.

* My state is mostly Red, with the top dogs being typical wingnuts of the worst kind, and the few congress critters who are Dems are whipped and gutless.

* As we speak, despite my stalwart voting record, my vote hasn't even been courted. What does that courtship thing that you've got going feel like?!1 What form does it take?!1 How does it manifest itself?!1 I wouldn't know...

32. Don't know your situation, but try dropping a grand on a candidate
that wins, it's usually worth a small favor in a pinch. Especially if yours is in the minority.

I wouldn't mind that they are corrupt so much, if only they weren't so cheap.
