His book, "Hostile Takeover" should be read by everyone -- especially those republicans who continue to vote against their best interest.

on edit -- called hubby & told him to record it for me. Thanks for the heads up!

4. My Cynical view is that Dobbs is losing Dems so he HAD to have SIROTA ON!
BUT...Sirota when he was on said "Lou, I'm a Democrat!"

And Sirota is a "Populist Dem," like me...so I was heartened that he said "I AM a DEMOCRATS" ..just like me as a LEFTY DEM!

6. And what in the h**l are we going to do about it in the next election?
Edited on Mon May-14-07 06:29 PM by Vadem
Will we vote for a third party candidate--Bloomberg-Hagel or will it be Gore-Clark? I am really pissed if the Dems have betrayed the labor unions! If they have, I will vote third party! This is too G-ddamn much! The secrecy alone is enough to make me question what the hell the Dems are thinking about! Really! I didn't vote for this crap from the Dems!!! I really mean it, if the Dems are going to go through with this bill (and I must say, that we really don't know what is in it, but the implications are that it is NOT good for labor), I will vote 3d party, because that means that the Dems have abandoned their principles and mine, as well!

9. Hang tough on our Dems who are letting Steny Hoyer and DLC'ers RULE!
Hillary's numbers up means we have more to lose on the left. Gotta drag Hillary kicking and screaming LEFTWARD! Even if she clings to that "center right." :-(

11. I am livid about the secrecy too.
My husband has said all along that the dems won't do much about the consolidation of power under the executive because they want it for themselves when they get in office. Our 'leaders' are gorging at the trough & those at the top are first in line for the feast. The rest of us be damned. :banghead:

Has Dean issued a statement yet?

7. I support Dobbs because he stands up for American labor
like no one else these days. The Dems seem to have turned against American workers.
