Rep Rangel......... Retire now!
You've had a great run. You are 80 yrs old. Your district is safe for Dems.

DO NOT provide repukes with campaign fodder!

1. It should have been months ago. He has become an embarrassment to the party.
He needs to resign.

6. I'm not thrilled about Rangel,
but this double-standard is dangerous. Tom Delay needs to be next.

11. Even Tom Delay resigned.
Where is the double standard?

Rangel is making a mockery of our promised high ethical standard, and is writing campaign ads for Republicans.

13. I think the point should be that resignation is not enough.
That's a flaw in the system. These crooks think they can pirate whatever they want when they're in leadership and never have to return a penny. If they aren't held accountable what does that say about our future prospects of finding good, selfless leaders?

3. Nice buy in
The repubs play the corruption card against a Dem. The Dems play right along.

Lots of "bipartisan" calls for Charlie's balls on a stick.

Cheney walks free.

Nice.

21. I want everyone who is a bastard to have their heads roll. If we
don't hold the same standards for our side, we can't be surprised nothing happens. We don't have to be as low as them. We just have to reach the level of justice and right that we hold for ourselves. Some one has to.

5. Odd they are targeting the African-American members of Congress
and not the rich white assholes that voted on the side of Big Pharma and blocked the public option.

There is a game afoot, and we don't know what it is.

7. In Florida they approved a grand jury investigation for Meek's South Florida
area. Left the red counties along I-4 untouched. And then they went after an hispanic politician in Central Florida and left all the white bastards untouched.

Yep. A pattern is emerging.

12. Oddly enough it was Crist & the FBI which approved it several months ago.

They're making a big hoopla about medicare fraud. However, the kind of racketeering that takes place in good ole boy areas they consider foolish indiscretions.

Listen, corruption in Florida is like the oil mess in the Gulf. You can throw a net overboard and, without trying, you're going to pull in more than your share of tainted fish. So where the authorities decide to cast their nets tells you something about their intentions.

15. It's almost too late now.. He needed to retire LAST year
If he suddenly retires now, the repubes will just say "look at us..we MADE that crook retire...and even though we forced him out he's still gonna get his GOVERNMENT pension"

16. I think this is for the voters of Harlam to decide. If they want to keep Charlie, they should be
able to. Funny, where are the Dems calling for Ensign and Vitter to 'resign"? I don't see any.

22. Charlie needs to face scrutiny and if he passes, then he should
stay. allowing constituents to have their say is why vitter and the rest are still in.
