Why is Genarlow Wilson in prison?
He got ten years as an adult for a "crime" he committed while a juvenile.

Find out why.

Sorry, I'd write more, but it makes me too angry, and for many reasons.

2. Why is he in prison?
He's black. He's being made an example. Georgia had them a new law. Had to take it out for a spin. "Think of the children" and all that.

I wonder what would have happened to a white boy in the same situation. But not too much. It's not hard to figure out.

3. Doesn't this violate the equal protection clause of the 14th?
I thought that if a law changed giving a more lenient sentence for a crime, persons previously convicted under a harsher statute could have their sentences reduced according to the new statute. Otherwise, there would exist two systems of justice, which would violate the 14th Amendment.

4. Georgia's age of majority is 18. I don't understand how
he could be considered an adult in the "crime" if he was only 17.
