NEW YORK — A right-wing New Jersey blogger was convicted at his third trial Friday of making threats against three federal judges in Illinois in retaliation for a ruling supporting gun control.

A Brooklyn jury deliberated less than two hours Friday before finding Hal Turner guilty of making death threats.

A judge jailed Turner, of North Bergen, N.J., following the verdict. His attorney declined comment.

The case stemmed from the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruling in 2009 by three judges — William Bauer, Frank Easterbrook and Richard Posner — that upheld a district court decision dismissing lawsuits that challenged handgun bans in Chicago and Oak Park, Ill...

This kind of attitude enables this kind of environment where these kind of crimes can happen.

It should be as safe as place as you would like it if you were locked up for something you didn't do. Also the probability of it happening--the violent crime--if it does happen--would probably be by someone who committed a worse crime.

8. Whatever the sentence is, it isn't enough.
Turner should be locked up for a long time. Humanity would be served better to have this heel removed from society for as long as possible, if not longer.

11. He's a terrorist..
plain and simple. He should be sentenced as such. If someone with a ME name or of ME origin did this, they'd be locked up forever. And so should he. IMO.
