8. I think that could be a thread in it's own merit.
Great idea, really. I wonder could Lewis and Obama really come to terms on this, it would be great to see Lewis Black deliver the news for the WH.

Or contact LB and give him this idea for material for his show. Would be funny as hell to see him pretend to deliver the WH news with his spin like he does....

7. I am so jealous of you. He is one of the things I have listed
on my bucket list.

I will be traveling 8 hours to see Neil Young in Bilouxi on 9/25, and I will be seating in the pit section 3rd row. I will be able to reach out and shake his hand, and it will be just him on a one on one venue, no band, no backup. I am so excited..

The last two with Crazy Horse. Never a bad show.

12. I and my spouse saw him at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas a few years ago.

The audience loved him and we did too!

He's hard hitting and speaks the truth, a lot like the late and great George Carlin.

We were staying at the MGM Grand and found out that he was performing there. We couldn't pass up the chance since we really enjoyed watching his standup on television.

18. A shit metaphor to explain away all the shit...
A bowl of shit looking at itself in the mirror is the result of someone deciding not to flush along long time ago, unfortunately shit took on a life of its own and began to grow, eventually people couldn't tell if shit was coming or going because shit was everywhere, and then before you know it people started talking shit, and many even began to act and feel like shit because some shit was cool while other shit was hot, and for some people shit was all you could get, unless you were a real looser that couldn't get shit, because some people wanted all the good shit for themselves, even though the whole country was deep in shit. So then a bunch of people decide that they had enough shit, so they had a big election and ...holy shit... they won a great victory and shit was going to hit the fan, and because of their huge efforts, the way shit happens was going to change... Except for one little thing, when it was all said and done everyone looked at their reward in amazement..., it was the same old shit...

30. Thanks for the link dogday
I can definitely relate to a lot of Lewis Black's insight and perspective, he is quite skilled at using parody to describe deep subject matter, for me parody is somewhat of an accident or hit and miss style of writing, but definitely something I should concentrate more on. Maybe watching more of Lewis Black will help, so thank you for introducing me to him...

51. I also like this Lewis Black quote:
"We have the republicans - a party of bad ideas and the democrats - a party of no ideas. And how it works is a republican will stand up in congress and shout "I have a really bad idea" and the democrat will respond "Oh yeah? I can make it shittier and shittier..."
