programming from yesterday instead of the live Senate hearings today.

Usually, when a hearing is closed, it says that on the website. Neither the SFRC site or the CapitolHearings.org site listed this as a 'closed' hearing.

Something probably happened at the last minute with Kissinger's schedule.

3. Don't know about CSPAN 3, but...

CSPAN1 and CSPAN2 are required, by their charter, to show the House and the Senate (respectively) when those bodies are in session. On my TV, CSPAN1 is showing the House conducting one minute speeches and CSPAN2 is showing the Senate in session.

So... Not sure what your gripe is.

None of the oversight hearings are getting coverage. If you're lucky they are on CSPAN3 but most people have to stream CSPAN3. Most cable/dish customers only get CSPAN 1 & 2. The MSM news covers them in two-minute sound bites, if at all. CNN is running ads about keeping the new democratic majority honest. Well, maybe they should show the hearings the Democratic party promised us in the campaign for 2006. Why so much scrutiny for their first MONTH in charge and CNN doesn't have to cover the oversight hearings of the LAST SIX YEARS that we voted for?
