Back in 2004, Fitzgerald questioned Bush for 70 Minutes regarding the CIA Leak case
http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2004/06/24/cia_leak_bush040624.html
U.S. federal prosecutors questioned President George W. Bush for more than an hour on Thursday as part of their investigation into who leaked the name of an undercover CIA operative to the media. U.S. Attorney Patrick J. Fitzgerald was in the Oval Office with Bush for 70 minutes. Fitzgerald is leading the Justice Department probe.

So the Fitz spoke with President Mishap for over an hour. I wonder what impression Fitzgerald has on Bush? Any thoughts?

1. Do you know if Cheney was questioned, too? I'd love to see him
swept up in a few lies, which I think will happen.

4. Weren't they questioned together (as in side-by-side) and NOT under oath?
That's my recollection, anyway.

5. I do remember the 'not under oath' part, too, but wasn't sure about Cheney. nt

6. That was for the 9/11 commission
I doubt that Bush would have spoken to Fitzgerald under oath and alone, though ...

I am absolutely positive that he wouldn't have done it with ANY recording devices nearby ...

10. You're right.
For clarity, on June 24, 2004 - Fitz did question Bush, not under oath, regarding PlameGate.

7. Tin Man - you're version is what I remember. People on DU
complained that it wasn't under oath and laughed about Bush having to be protected by Cheney.

Bush brought his own lawyer. A private lawyer. That was big deal at the time.

Anybody remember who Bush's lawyer was for this?

12. James E. Sharp - from TinMan's reply (#10)
I was hoping it was the same one that Rush Limbaugh retained on his drug case ... you know, the one that he said (a few years before) was the biggest sign that someone was guilty (when they hired him) ...

3. He Spoke With Cheney, Too
And they didn't testify under oath.

Let's just say that if Mr. Fitzgerald had been impressed with this testimony, Scooter would still be screwing things up in Crashcart's office.

9. Yeah. And I'm thinking Fitzgerald doesn't have a high opinion of Bush.

11. So, the lies (if not perjury) are all documented.
