Does anyone here know any hardcore Beckonites?

I ask because I am interested in what they thought about the sermon, I mean rally, that occured over the weekend. Were they happy with it, or disappointed that there was not enough Obama bashing? It seems to me as it was more of an attempt to

A) sell more Glenn Beck novels, and
B) be a Christian Missionary event.

I know a couple, but they are my inlaws, and I get in way too many fights with them as it is, so I don't want to rock the boat with them any more than I already have by marrying their daughter.

1. All I know about Glenn Beck and one sister of mine...

...is that "(sister's name here) likes Glenn Beck" has popped up on my Facebook page. I have no idea how long ago she originally "liked" him, but I have to stringently avoid discussing all such topics with her to keep the family peace, so I'll probably never find out more.

She's a fundy Christian Republican. From other things I've heard from her, I wouldn't be surprised if she goes along with a lot of GB's bullshit.

2. I really just don't get it

It is plain as day that the man is playing a character in order to sell books and overpriced gold coins, but there are so many that follow and like him. It is like they prefer to be afraid at every corner of the boogeyman. And Beck sells them that Boogeyman all day long.

I get some good laughs here in the NW calling Republicans Bushneeshees, Rushneeshees or Beckneeshees. The Rajneeshees were big news out here for quite awhile. I don't know if they were well known enough nation wide for those to be funny to people from other regions.
