Susan Ralston (ROVE'S "GATEKEEPER"!) Requesting Congressional IMMUNITY!!!
Edited on Wed May-16-07 08:47 PM by Beetwasher
"Rove's former assistant, Susan Ralston, is currently seeking immunity to testify before Waxman's committee. Ralston is a former assistant to Jack Abramoff, the disgraced Washington super-lobbyist and Republican fund-raiser. As Rove's gatekeeper, she became special assistant to the President and the highest-ranking Filipino-American in the administration. For Waxman, she is a link between Abramoff and Rove. Ralston was deposed behind closed doors prior to her request for immunity. According to her friends, she has nothing to say that would cause problems for Rove. Her request for immunity was forwarded to the Justice Department, whose recommendation may or may not be followed by Congress."

:wow: This could be a very, very big deal, regardless of what is being floated by her "friends".

5. Another republicon weasel trying to avoid responsibility
Why can't republicons show some honor and just plain old tell the truth for once, without having some shady-ass deal before they squeal.

Republcions = no honor, as they prove over and over.

6. nothing to say that would be a problem for rove?
oh, i see, she's not going to open her mouth or she's going to lie, because that's the only way she doesn't hurt rove. who are they trying to kid? or is she saying that she, and not rove, is the criminal, and that's why she wants immunity?

20. WRONG! Even if she's given imunity, she CAN'T lie to Congress!
Imunity is granted to prevent prosecution for PREVIOUS possible cromes, but lying to Congress is a NEW ONE, and punishable as a felony!

21. they have to catch her in the lie first.
i never said lying to congress was not a crime or was covered by immunity. don't put words in my mouth and then tell me i'm wrong.

9. Ralston and Goodling were the head facilitators. There is plenty of blood
on their hands. I really don't like them getting away with all their crimes just because their bosses are so hard to indict.

It is like giving immunity to the guy who does the wet work in a mob in order to get the mob boss. Turns one's stomach.

13. True, but it's necessary, these weasels have got Divine Right on their side.
Sorry, that's "Executive Privilege" or the President's power to President or whatever new argument they've come up with.

14. i'm suspicious
Ralston is a good soldier. With immunity, she can say
"yup it was all my idea. KKKarl, Dick and George knew nothing
about it. That's it. It's over and you can't do a thing about it"

Just a possibility.

16. If anyone has the 'goods,' she does....
sad to see that she has had 'work' done...but since she has sold her soul to the devil, it's not surprising that she would sell everything else.

I hope the Dems GRILL her unmercifully.
