Teabagger Christine O'Donnell finally earns Bachelor Degree (after lying about it for 20+ years)

O'Donnell earns degree 21 years later

WASHINGTON -- Twenty-one years after she began her undergraduate work, Republican Christine O'Donnell can accurately call herself a college graduate.

A spokesman for Fairleigh Dickinson University says the tea party-backed Senate candidate earned her bachelor's degree in English literature on Wednesday. Spokesman Scott Giglio says he cannot provide more information.

O'Donnell has been dogged by questions over her claims she graduated from the New Jersey school; she later conceded that while she attended graduation day in 1993, she did not collect a diploma.

2. The woman is broke and in massive debt...
but perhaps she used campaign funds to buy it - just like she did with her rent.

3. Why the hell would she attend graduation in 1993 if she wasn't graduating?
She sounds a bit off her rocker. Dear Lord!

4. Simple - she did not have the credits needed to graduate but was probably pretty close to it
I had a friend who was 3 credits shy of graduating and was going to get those last credits during summer session. Well there is no ceremonies for summer sessions so they offered her the chance to walk in the main ceremony but would not give her a diploma until she finished that last course.

That actually almost happened to me. They found out that my records were double counting a calculus class. I had taken a summer session at a local community college before I started college but only got a C in the class. So I opted to retake it again at my main college (got a B). Anyhow both Calculus classes were on my transcripts and were being counted toward my final credit and of course this error was found about 2 months before I graduated. Correcting it made me 2 credits shy of graduating. Originally they offered to let me walk in the ceremony and just take a summer class to make it up. But instead my Bio professor felt bad and said that he would take my summer job working for the Dept of Agriculture and turn it into 2 credits by writing about what I had done during those projects. Minimum 10 pages (my summer job was not an internship). But it was worth it and I was able to receive a diploma when I graduated.
