8. Carter was a much better President that
Reagan or the Bush men.

He also had a great batting average. The Carter hatred is all propaganda.
I love Jimmy Carter. He was right Bush was the worst president in history. I'll be buying his diaries.

At least in my lifetime, and I'm 67. He's STILL the only really honest one alive or dead.

Don't get freaked out folks. President Carter has edited the transcript and annotated it with his retrospectives on the events and personalities of his White House years. Can't wait to read it.

19. I enjoyed this segment on 60 Minutes.
Carter was such a man of peace. So unlike the fool from 2000 to 2008 who wanted to be a "War President"

20. Republicans trash EVERY democratic prez from FDR to JFK from Carter to Clinton - And then
Edited on Sun Sep-19-10 09:08 PM by GreenTea
they try to shove bullshit down our throats that union busting, tax raising, huge deficit creator, big government spender Ronald Reagan as some sort of great president.

NO one can name one fucking thing in eight years that Reagan did for the poor, the workers, the middle-class or small business - But Reagan certainly went out of his way to give all he could to the rich and their corporations....Reagan tore down much needed corporate regulations, increasing hundreds of billions of dollars in subsidies to corporations (corporate welfare) stopped alternative clean renewable energy incentives in favor of polluting oil & coal corporations while still offering gigantic tax cuts for corporations 9and the wealthy).

Republicans feed us lies and offer bullshit about asshole corporate pig-shit like Reagan - Who literally ruined this country, our economy and destroyed the workers only voice - while taking from us - and giving to the wealthy and their corporations....

Bush just did exactly the same thing, only Bush wasn't even coy about it, Bush had a republican congress & senate so he just spit right in our faces, as well as the poor and the workers & gutting and destroying as much as the social fabric as he could with his lying wars for corporate profits...Bush laughed right at us and didn't give a fuck - Bush is one narcissistic sociopath - a torture loving psychopath....who cares about no one and hasn't the capacity for compassion or to feel others pain - He just doesn't give a shit!

Republicans don't want the American people to remember anything fondly that democratic presidents have done for the less fortunate - they just want to trash the Dems in our memory....And now we see what they are doing and hoping to do to destroy democratic president Obama in the peoples minds forever!

27. Jimmy Carter is a saint.
Well, he would be if I believed in sainthood, whatever that is.

I'm sure I'm not the only one here who pines for Jimmy Carter's honesty.

And I had the nerve to vote against him in the 1980 Democratic primary election and instead voted for Ted Kennedy.

Now that was a tough choice.

Long live Jimmy.

36. Carter Was Discussed
Carter was discussed here yesterday on a popular thread until mods relegated it to the netherworld. I don't know why, since it concerned an American discussing American policy.
