TITLE: "Trust"
LENGTH: 30 seconds.
AIRING: Began airing Thursday on broadcast and cable outlets in the Detroit area.
PAID FOR BY: Gary Peters' congressional campaign.
SCRIPT: Voter: "From what I've heard, Rocky doesn't sound like someone I can trust."
Narrator: "It's true. Rocky Raczkowski is being sued by his former business partners for theft, fraud and conspiracy."
Voter: "We've had enough of politicians like Rocky."
Narrator: "The case court documents say Rocky set up a concert ticket scheme that bilked his partners out of $6 million. And witnesses say Rocky lied about evidence and destroyed documents to cover it up."
Voter: "If he's ripped off his business partners, how can we trust him?"
U.S. Rep. Gary Peters: "I'm Gary Peters, and I approved this message."
KEY IMAGES: The ad opens with an unidentified 9th Congressional District voter, who appears to be sitting in a kitchen, talking about the trustworthiness of Republican congressional candidate Rocky Raczkowski. It then shows a still photograph of Raczkowski in the foreground with a legal document behind him. The words "Rocky Raczkowski" and "being sued" pop up beside the candidate's picture followed by "theft," ''fraud" and "conspiracy."
The ad then cuts to a second voter's comments before shifting back to another picture of Raczkowski and the lawsuit papers. This time, the words are "Rocky," ''set up scheme," ''bilked $6 million," ''lied about evidence" and "destroyed documents."
A third nameless voter, a man on the street, later provides his thoughts before the ad closes with a picture of Democratic incumbent Rep. Gary Peters sitting at a desk and his voice-over declaring that he approved the ad.
