Australian soldiers charged over Afghan civilian deaths

Three Australian former special forces soldiers have been charged over an operation in Afghanistan in which six civilians died and four were injured.

The ex-commandos conducted a night-time raid in February 2009 on a residential compound in Uruzgan province, where a Taliban leader was said to be hiding.

It is alleged they attacked the wrong house. Five of the dead were children.

1. >>>>>>>>
When are we going to leave those poor people in peace?

How many have we killed already, and how many more is the pentagon planning on killing?

Obama is, ours, and the people of Afghanistan's, only hope to make peace.
But I've never read about a plan to make peace.

Has Obama issued such a plan?

Or are they claiming: "No one could ever imagine" peace?

NATO Strikes at Taliban in Pakistan
By ROD NORDLAND
Published: September 27, 2010

KABUL, Afghanistan — NATO forces in Afghanistan launched two airstrikes against Taliban insurgents on the Pakistani side of the border, killing more than 30 people, military spokesmen confirmed on Monday.

The airstrikes, which took place last Friday and Saturday, were unusual because they involved piloted aircraft rather than drones, which are more commonly used to attack insurgents on the Pakistani side of the border, and which are normally operated by the Central Intelligence Agency.
