Interest on the old checking account... It's kind of insulting, really, .04 for September. Why even fucking bother paying the interest.

6. .69 dollars (or $0.69) is sixty-nine cents
.69 cents (or .69¢) is 69/100 of a cent. The fruit and vegetable stand where I go makes this mistake all the time and one of these days I am going to make them honor their advertised prices!

2. It probably cost them more to do the accounting...
to add that to your account. Did they send you paper in the mail to let you know? More postage than interest too.

4. That's how much interestI made on my savings last year
and I had about $10,000 throughout the entire time. If I owed $10,000, I'm sure I'd pay through the nose on interest. Where do these banks get off?

But if I'm will to lock up some money for two years, my Credit Union will has a CD that pays 1%! For a $1000 investment, that's a cool extra $20 that I can see in 2012. :eyes:

8. And yet, they charge what 30% for credit and they can't lend to
small business.... Banks are the shit in this economy.
