Gibbs said that he has had no discussions about another future job after a report was published that he could leave his current post. Citing anonymous sources, Politico reported that Gibbs is being considered as a candidate for DNC chairman for the 2012 presidential election.
"I have not had any conversations about the future – it is a great honor to have the job I have right now and I am very happy doing it," Gibbs tweeted.
The report came amid a staff shakeup at the White House over the past several weeks heading into the November midterm elections, in which Democrats are expected to lose seats in Congress.
