Morning Scabs pandering to Meg WHITMAN. My scathing e-mail to them
Usually things are better with Scabs gone, but quit pandering on the WHITMAN thing. The audience clearly ran against her in her trying to have it both ways, the both ways as shown by Tina BROWN saying she was "girlish"! So she gets to be BOTH girlish and whorish-tough while Jerry is "cadaverous"? The one being an unprincipled non-journalistic whore was Saint Tom BROCAW --GASP-- pouring gasoline on the non-fire. No, Jerry's crawling was NOT the way to handle it. He did fine and the audience was with him. Just quit it. What is it that BARNICLE and BUCHANAN do every day of their lives?

2. I'm always amazed at the outrage generated around here by morning joke and tweety
I never get pissed off at anything said on either of their shows.

You know why? Because I don't fucking watch them.

I know they're going to make a lot of snarky anti Democratic comments. And I know they'll do it in the nastiest most sarcastic manner possible. Why would I want to hear a bunch of fucking dolts talk shit about Dems?

I haven't deliberately watched tweety in years. And even though I'm an early riser (it's 5 am here on the west coast) I never watch that other piece of crap show.

I don't need the irritation. By not getting pissed at these douchebags I can save my outrage for when I really need it - the upcoming holidays with the friggin idiots in my family.

5.  I do sometimes when I get up in the morning and don't feel
well I watch and it brightens my day. Because I see how desperate and aholish republicans can be and I say thank goodness I am a Democrat and feel better the rest of the day.

3. in fact, it probably works in just the opposite way than expected
I don't think the programming folks care one bit about their viewers political views - only that they watch. If they can create a bit of controversy that attracts viewers, then that will be the strategy.

Only changing the channel and not supporting the sponsors works imo.

12. The Media isn't "Red" or "Blue"...it's "Green"
Anything that will deliver viewers to the advertisers is good programming.

4. And change it to C-span and what do you see?
They played the whore exchange and then had on a reporter from Hotline that told us this exchange was a big win for Meg...and that "this is all we are talking about"
They all get the memo and all say the same.

6. Thank you. That's analogous to posters who jump into a thread just to announce
how much they don't watch programs they disagree with, how important it is to live without knowledge of what political opponents are up to (gathering intel; opposition research), how even a teensy e-mail is a bit of activism, how tuning in just gives them ratings (I'm not a NIELSEN family), etc., etc., all delivered with the self-assurance that these points are highly original and show surprising insight, as opposed to not adding anything to the "discussion" (on a discussion board) or why they feel obliged carefully to select threads they don't like to jump into.

7. I enjoy reading what Morning Joke is doing
I was an avid watcher until after the election and haven't watch it since then.
But I still think they are on top of what the media propaganda news will be for the day.
They suck, you know it, we know it , they know it and even Bob Dole knows it.

If the Daily show didn't watch Fox news and they do it wouldn't be as funny.
Media Matters watches all these shit programs and reports back to the web.

I think its necessary to do, although not for me, in order to call them on their bullshit.

I hope your blood pressure and sanity hold up, mine wouldn't and didn't, so I
get a hint on what the talking points are.

Face it Morning Joe to me was like a small morning addiction
but I still like to smell the smoke sometimes.

8. You mean they didn't mention that the audience laughed at Whitman
with her "well that's different" comment?

12. at one point the audience burst into laughter at Meg

as she claimed that when her campaign aide called the legislature "whores" it was totally different than when a Brown aide called her a whore.

anytime the Electorate laughs out loud at your hypocrisy, you are in deep trouble.

-- as someone on that thread said:

even the dog wouldn't play with her if she had a steak tied around her head

Now on MSNBC they're giving props to Whitman re: job creation??
and "neither one is any good" etc.

11. That 'campaign aide' is her campaign manager, Pete Wilson
But of course, when he uses the same term it's 'different.' :eyes:
