Big damn babies, aren't they. They can dish it out ad nauseum, but they can't take it.

Citing Rep. Grayson's 'gutter theatrics,' GOP challenger refuses to debate
By Shane D'Aprile - 10/20/10 05:57 PM ET

After Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) attacked his Republican challenger Dan Webster as "Taliban Dan" in a recent campaign ad, Webster is refusing to share the stage with him for a debate.

Webster's campaign made the decision official Wednesday, hitting Grayson's "vile and wildly dishonest accusations" and "lack of decorum" in a statement.

"I have run a positive campaign without making a single personal attack on Congressman Grayson, and I pledge to continue to do so throughout this campaign," Webster said. "Being on a stage with him at this point would make keeping that commitment almost impossible. I do not believe that a debate with Alan Grayson will be anything more than gutter theatrics."

2. The GOP is used to Invertibrate Democrats.
When someone with a Spine shows up, they take their ball and go home.

4. This is part of a larger strategy ...
If the GOP / Tea Party candidates make gains, we will see much more of this, thanks to the citizen's united case.

Why would a candidate enter a debate, when they can let their message get out via and endless stream of 3rd party advertisements?

Why do interviews with anything other then "friendly media"?

This is not fear, so much as a glimpse at what the GOP will be doing on a regular basis going forward. 3rd party money is going to set up candidates, build a media wall around them, and then put them in office ... no questions, no debate.

5. Alan Grayson should "debate" an actor playing the part of Dan Webster.
It would give him the chance to control BOTH sides of the debate.

6. What's wrong with gutter theatrics?
I don't think that's what the debate will turn out to be, but even so, I like gutter theatrics and so does 70-80% of the population. That's why our movies and TV are so violent and crappy. That's what Faux News and most of the MSM make Politics out to be. And how is it that the Truth is "gutter"... cause you know damn well Rep Grayson will use strong words and language, but what he'll be Speaking will be the Truth.

The guys a wimp.

Go Grayson!

:)
