2. There's more than a few 8-year olds in the Bay Area
this evening who were allowed to stay up late to watch this ballgame, and they don't see the issues you cite -- they see their favorite players winning against the Rangers, and it's a damned fine evening for 'em.

I'm not disagreeing with the money argument, but I am suggesting that the 8-year olds might be closer to the heart of the game.

4. It's not quite 8 pm in the Bay Area
so the kids didn't have to stay up too late.

And, I agree with you, I love watching the kids at baseball games - they are the heart of the game.

Fortunately, the huge celebrating population of San Francisco isn't about to let a sour old fuck ruin their enjoyment.

Go eat another lemon

Very few unrecs in my life, but sometime's it's way deserved.

11. The crappy Texans vs Colts game.
I think the World Series would attract some viewership.

15. Keep screaming your little 8 year old hearts out and sending money to your enemies all the while
screaming "go my team"

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/2004-10-26-campaign-contributions_x.htm

The sports world, he says, has some "heavy hitters." They're topped by Alex Spanos, owner of the NFL's San Diego Chargers. Spanos, with just three other owners — the NBA Orlando Magic's Rich DeVos, the NFL Houston Texans' Robert McNair and MLB Cincinnati Reds' Carl Lindner — produced about 71% of all money from owners and commissioners. Each is on the Forbes list of the 400 richest Americans and made virtually all their donations to Republican causes or candidates.
-.....

About 83% of the donations went to Republican or conservative candidates or groups.

Read it and go out and celebrate your money going into the pockets of the corporations out to destroy you.

18. The money that pays for the fancy scoreboard isn't the
heart that loves the game, whether it's the heart of someone 8 years old or 108 years old.

Baseball happens in huge stadiums and it happens in dirt lots.
