7. I'm in Oklahoma.
That one pissed me off. First off, I voted it down because it would be unconstitutional just like it would (or should) be with any other religion. Second off, I know it was just conservatives using it to stir up anti-Muslim fear/hate.

21. I'm curious...do you actually know people who thought this was
an issue? Aside from the obvious fear/hate intent, have you met people who think Sharia law was being used in OK?

23. I don't talk a lot of politics with people
But the thing is it doesn't matter if people thought it was being or going to be used in OK. Thanks to whatever brave, "Christian," patriots got it on the ballot, we've risen as a people united against those nasty Muslims. That will show 'em!

the 'ground zero mosque'.

2. Well, personally.
I would like to see Michigan ban the planting of citrus trees and palms in outdoor landscaping.

Seems to be just a relevant, IMO.

26. Embarrassing hardly begins to describe it
There should be a wanting-to-fade-into-the-floor-with-humiliation smilie. My family is from Oklahoma, and even though I haven't lived there in years, it's still more or less home.

32. Believe me, I was too
I was a bit shocked to see it on the ballot even here.

But what I'm wondering is, was there something more insidious contained in the law? Before you get to the part about sharia, the paragraph above seems to be intent on forbidding out judges from considering international law in any cases. That kinda worrries me. :(
