A Tea Party Congressperson's first day on the job...
The Hon. TPer to Legislative Assistant: "Hey, could you come in here I need to talk to you. And bring the charger cord for my Jazzy."

LA : "Yes, Mr. Congressman."

TPer: "Oh, good. Could you plug that in? It costs to charge it at my house. OK. First order of business. I want you to send an order to the US Army to arrest Barack Obama and his cabinet and all White House employees as enemies of the state."

LA: "Um, sir, you can't do that."

TPer: "Why?"

LA: "Well, you were elected to the 39th District of Arkansas, sir. You are in the legislative branch of government. You can't order the Army to do anything. That's a power of the executive branch. You have no powers of arrest."

TPer: "Oh, bullshit. The People have spoken and they want Barack Obama out."

LA: "I can see that, sir. But you just can't send the Army to arrest him. He can't even do that to you. It's against US law and has been for a very long time. Let's look at your legislative agenda for this coming week."

TPer: "Against the law?"

LA: "Yes. It's called the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878."

TPer: "Well, we need to repeal that sucker right away."

LA: "You would like to repeal that act?"

TPer: "Damn straight."

LA: "Sir, you were elected on a wave of anger against the Federal Government interfering in people's lives. The history of that act kind of tracks along those lines."

TPer: "When did you say it was put in place?"

LA: "1878, sir. It was part of a compromise that Republicans with Democrats struck to get Hayes in office."

TPer: "WHAT? Republicans compromising with Democrats!!!??? No wonder such a socialist piece of legislation got through. This is everything that is wrong with this country!"

LA: "Sir, I think you misunderstand."

TPer: "Misunderstand? Bullshit, boy. I know tyranny when I see it! This vulgarly named act. What is that French? Anyhow, this act is clearly tyranny. I want the Army to be able arrest people and I want it yesterday. We're supposed to be working on, what's that? The legislative something or the other?"

LA: "The Legislative Agenda."

TPer: 'Right. That's where we make laws, right?"

LA: "Um, yes. That's correct."

TPer: "I want you and whoever it is that does this stuff to draw up a repeal act of that dumb law and put in that agenda thingee. We're going to take back this country no matter what!"

2. They can exercise their 2nd Amendment remedies against the U.S. Army
and see how that works out for them.

3. "agenda thingee"
That's funny stuff and probably not as far fetched as it seems at first glance, unfortunately
