Loving Maddow and O'Donnell going at it
They are both brilliant. Glad Tweety is finally shutting up. They need to dump him.

3. He seems to be moderating the show

so his job is different tonight. He is keeping it moving along and getting the results in. But Tweety is definitely in over his head. They seem to be humoring him.

2. There was a post earlier
which I've thought about all day. I'm limiting my political tv time to Rachel and L O'D. I'm going to read more. Not only politics but, fiction and history. Why am I wasting time listening to a lot of bullshit for 3-4 hours.

And I think I'll spend more time with my son and his family who just moved here. We've been apart for 3 years. Everyone votes D and we discuss politics with the teenage Grandson.

Life goes on.

11. Thank you Nadine
Your a gem.

Someone rec'd this one earlier today and it's in my Amazon cart. Tomorrow when my brain is firing on all 4 cylinders I'll go through the reviews and order another 2. That should keep me busy for about a month.

Winner-Take-All Politics: How Washington Made the Rich Richer--and Turned Its Back on the Middle Class - Paul Pierson;

Or if you have have 2 favorites on your list. I'm seriously thinking Zinn, haven't read any of his books. Ack :hide:

I must have 35 or more books I bought during the bush years, Fraud, Big Lies, Hubris, The politics of Truth, Blinded by the Right, The Book on Bush, etc. all are pretty much the same. I want need some meat - the nuts and bolts of how it works, the history that I blew off in school.

A few years ago I read Alinsky's, 'Rules for Radicals'. What pisses me off the most is that I was so busy trying to keep up with the daily grind that I didn't have time to find out why the hell my life was that way and what were the reasons for life being such a grind. Know what I mean? Feeling chewed up and spit out.

Thanks again :pals:

12. Well these are history books
Kennedy will explain fully why we're a third word nation already... never mind it was written in the 1980s.

15. It is a highly technical book
but a great book.

I remember reading it back in the day and getting chills... so becoming a second rate power don't shock me... and yes, we are there.

16. I believe that . Been seeing it happen for years
Edited on Tue Nov-02-10 11:20 PM by madmax
and now it's blindingly obvious. I kept wondering, how the hell did this happen? Now I'll find out. Funny when my son asks me how I know something I tell him, 'they hide information in books.'

I'll be using my November's mad money on Amazon. A good investment.

edit to add - the dumb-ass villager conventional wisdom hits MSNBC tomorrow on Morning Joe & probably all day.
