in the White House when it comes down to messaging. So tell me, what is Obama going to do about it?

1. Shoot some hoops and sneak out for a "half-smoked".
In other words, don't hold your breath.

Unless we MAKE him do something(and I'm not sure we can)he'll just "go with the flow".

7. I wrote so many e-mails.
I cannot imagine how "we" can get Obama to do anything.

He signs all these wonky policy bills, which are great, but which do not educate people.

Allowing the banks to foreclose on so many, many families and older people was just downright cruel. Now, I've said it. Just cruel.

When Democrats become heartless and cruel, people turn to Republicans. The Republicans are much more cruel than Democrats, but people don't realize that yet.

Cruelty does not pay, and the current economic policy is cruel.

3. I 100% agree with Hartman on that one, how the hell do you let the people who screwed the economy...
...get back the keys to the economy!??!?

They assumed people wouldn't forget when they had no historical president for that, people forget as soon as they can and the message should've been more frequent to remind them....FDR did so often.

The loss of the house was due to messaging... no doubt

5. I agree with that.....
...the democrats have been doing some good things legislatively but when it comes to getting their message out, they're terrible!

It began that august when they were trying to pass health care. And the lunatics began to show up at town halls. But ever since then, they have been terrible in their media arguments. They should have been hammering everything since then to let people know what they've been doing. But what do we hear? Crazy Angle & O'Donnell!

I don't know who is in charge of that but they need to get a lot better at it in the future.....

8. With all due respect to Thom, just how the f**k do Obama & Dems get their message
out when +90% of the airwaves are owned by multinationals and/or multinational interests?

Sorry, but it has to be said. I'm so 'effing sick and tired of this utter BS line.

I live in a major metro city that is made up of at least 50% reg Dems, yet there is not one single, solitary progressive voice on the radio, just wall to wall RW corporate shills 24/7. As for the teevee machine, Faux is provided on nearly all basic cable/satellite packages in the entire county, whereas access to MSNBC requires the purchase of premium packages. The print media? Nothing but puppies and rainbows where our neocon representatives are concerned.

Gee, I wonder what the net effect would be on the views and perceptions of peeps in my community with round the clock RW rubbish?

It's not about poor messaging. It's about access to the messaging. The peeps, by and large, don't have access to the messaging.

Ok. Rant off. Thanks for listening.
