16. It actually makes sense. The most desparate states seek changes.
Not that it is logical for them to think the repugs are better for them. But, they didn't see results with who they had.

18. Yep. It's a strange morning here in Michigan.
Although it looks like Snyder may to be more a Milliken republican than an Engler republican. One can hope so anyway.

2. In CA, we're at the opposite extreme
Here, we smoked the GOP on the major races.

But I still have hopes that voters came through for Grijalva in Arizona. It's still too close for anybody to call, even with more than 90% of votes counted. But he was ahead, the last time I checked.

I hope Grijalva makes it. I know that for you, losing him would only add insult to injury.

3. Raul looks okay. All but 2 precincts in and he's over 2000 ahead.
Still, way too close.

5. We got Jan Brewer + a statewide sweep. A veto proof majority in both houses of the legislature.
We lost Ann Kirkpatrick and Harry Mitchell and got Ben Quayle.

Thanks to SB1070.

From Brewer's decapitated bodies in the Arizona desert to all the lies about higher violent crime to the feds doing nothing on the border, and lots more in between. Just passels and passels of damn lies. :puke:

21. Oh, I know. The polling was showing it for months.
Lots of Dems here were in denial about it.

10. Texas
In McLennan County (Waco), I think every race was won by GOP except one. I just got up, better go check that one.

19. We got killed in Georgia too.
Republicans won every statewide race here. Every. Single. One. Senator, Governor, and everything else. They also picked up one (possibly two) House seats.

And, of course, they maintained control of both chambers of our state legislature. And considering that we're expected to pick up an extra Federal House seat due to the 2010 census, all signs point to a painful redistricting.

Last night was not a good night to be a Democrat in Georgia.

:puke:
