Some quick thoughts about the election ... first and foremost, the GOP successfully "rebranded" themselves and America bought it. There is zero doubt that after the '08 elections the previous brand of the GOP would not have been able to do this. Dubya disappeared from the scene after disassembling the country's economy, and no one raised any questions about where he went or why he was hiding. The GOP was able to sweep 8 years of the Bush administration under the carpet, while Obama took complete ownership of the hole Republicans dug the country into. Conservatives, with zero guilt and invigorated with enthusiasm, were able to re-rally around failed policies dressed up with a new label. So, hello Tea Party America ... but realize this, while we can rightfully scream "No taxation without representation," keep in mind that with the slashing of taxes/government so goes your representation, your voice, your seat at the table in regard to safe medicine, safe food, clean water and air, etc. Government needs to be reformed, but this new brand of GOP doesn't want to tweak or even fix government, they want to gut it. While legions cheer at that notion, know that "it," government, is you, your voice, your representation, your seat at the table. Among the deafening applause I simply say ... s-u-c-k-e-r-s.

2. Yup, and part of that rebranding includes labelling
"progressive" unhappiness as part of the Mandate of No. McConnell at the R leadership press conference now claiming that as humble victory. All the no belongs to them, including yours. I hope you stand up and scream as loudly now as you did during the past 2 years.
