While I prefer Scott McAdams, a Murkowski win is a nice "screw you" to Sarah Palin
In the end it's a difference between a standard Republican who votes with her party 90% of the time, and a teabagger who votes with them 100% of the time.

But it's a nice embarrassment to Sarah the Quitter.

1. I can't say I disagree.
She's pro-choice. And she's not Joe Miller. As long as she doesn't caucus with the traitors who thought she was a goner.

2. Is Murkowski definitely caucusing with the R's?
Just wondering whether she's pissed enough at them not to.

3. If she hadn't done a write-in, McAdams would have won...
I hate her.

6. I don't know, Alaska is one warped out state
McAdams only got 23% of the vote. that means Republicans received 77%..If it weren't for the geography/weather here I would leave in a heartbeat...

7. I disagree.
And, further, we need to court Murkowski. She's an opportunist, but I'd rather have her be a Lieberman-like character than another GOP caucus member.

8. It wasn't gonna happen
In the end, it was a choice between the tea party criminal and the sore loser, for most Alaskans. If she weren't running the write-in, Miller would have won big.

Besides, this thing isn't over. I expect every one of those write-in ballots to be scrutinized by Miller's people, and the slightest variation from the spelling test will be challenged. This could go on longer than Coleman-Franken, but it would be a war between establishment Republicon lawyers and tea party attorneys. Should be fun to watch.

5. Can't stand Murkowski
But you have to grudgingly respect anybody pulling off a Senate win with write in votes.

At least she didn't invent a fictional "political party" like some Liberdouches I could mention.
