Ok so I blew it
I expected us to hold the house by a narrow margin, or if the pugs got it to get it by a narrow margin.

But...

just as we had blue dogs, they have Tea...

Something tells me them members of the tea movement will be harder to control than rank and file "regular" republicans.

And the margin the Republicans have IS NOT a supermajority.

Did I mention the Democratic Senate and a veto Pen? That said I expect our Centrist President to go further right for the sake of... compromise and that gives me a tummy ache.

And yes I expect things to get MUCH WORST. That is just me.

Oh and to all those investigations and impeachment... bring it on. I am sure those folks who voted for these guys will be looking at them jobs that will be surely created by the private sector... :sarcasm: and all those tax cuts...

1. Investigations would actually shine a light on who the real bad guys are.
We could use some positive publicity.

2. Except that the guy who will be leading the investigations,
Rep. Darryl Issa, needs to be investigated himself for corruption. Talk about putting the foxes in charge of the chicken coop.

3. Do you think Daryl is doing this to shine any light?
No.

This is not to uncover a thing... but sheer kabuki theater.

And the media will play along.

4. They don't need a supermajority in the House
They need 218 and they got at least 245.

And let's face it - we probably kept the Senate because only 37 seats were up.

I don't like this compromise talk one bit.

5. They need the supermajority to override the veto
and no, I don't like it one bit either.

8. Doesn't matter anyway
They'd never get 67 votes in the Senate.

9. Yeah but I made the point
due to the health care bill and the veto pen.

In other words things like we will repeal HCR is just pure hot air. For many reasons mind you.

6. Right on 2 counts, as I see it
It will get worse, of course. Seconded.
And good point: Teabaggers may have a few wild-cards who don't goose-step to the same beat. I agree.

7. Which Boner to believe
Boner has repeated no compromise and work to defeat Obama in 2012. However, last night he seemed to indicate compromise and that will piss off the Tea Baggers.

The various factions within the Plutocratic Party (formerly the Republican Party) are not going to play nice with each other.

I predict Obama isn't going to have anyone with which to compromise as the Boner ain't gonna lead. He likes being the rebel resistance, but he won't lead.

11. Why did you expect us to hold the House?
I really want to understand why people were so wiling to ignore the numbers.

12. Same here
I will now admit something very stupid -> I wasn't aware each and every seat in the house was up for election until late <- that is all.

So far the count's got them at 55% of the house, but yeah, they'll probably continue to behave, pardon the french, like dicks.

14. What happened was predicted a year and a half ago.
The predictors were vilified and dismissed.
