Daily Kos, via AlterNet:

Michele Bachmann Angles to Become #3 GOPer in House

Let the crazy times roll:

Bachmann ready for leadership run

Tea party favorite Michele Bachmann of Minnesota is throwing her hat into the ring for Republican Conference chairwoman, adding yet another candidate to what is already shaping up to be a free-for-all race for the No. 3 spot in the House Republican hierarchy.

Bachmann spokesman Sergio Gor said Tuesday that the congresswoman has been encouraged to run for the spot by some conservative members and is considering making a run.

“We have been contacted by some members about that. If the opportunity were to present itself, she would definitely consider it,” he said.

I have to admit, I never in a million years would have thought Michele Bachmann could become the third-ranking member of the majority party leadership in the House. And fortunately, it still hasn't. But if it does, there's going to be no limit to how crazy they're going to get over the next two years.

3. Amazing isn't it? A person says the most nutjob stuff and gets to a high position
of power. Maybe we dems should elect people from the mental hospitals and we'd get somewhere too.
