"The President, by the way, is wrong in saying he let the jury's verdict stand. He did not," the husband of outed agent Valerie Plame told The Last Word.

Bush re-hashed the past in his new book, Decision Points. Bush admitted his decision not to pardon former Cheney aide Scooter Libby caused some friction between the two towards the end of his term.

"I chose to commute his sentence. I felt he had paid enough of a penalty," said Bush

Wilson still begs to differ. "Scooter Libby did not serve a day in jail. And by commuting his sentence, he removed from Scott Fitzgerald any remaining pressure that Fitzgerald had on Libby." Wilson continued, "The obstruction of justice prevented Pat Fitzgerald, the special prosecutor, from finding out the underlying truth in the betrayal of Valerie's identity."

3. I honestly wonder why we don't go after the Cheney band with pitch forks and torches blazing!
These people have committed blatant treason against our country and they are proud of it.

I'm just dumb founded that people have accepted the whole criminal activity without really a serious whimper.

Half of us here won't go after the BFEE because Obama won't.

And that's what he's there for: to keep America safe for the next puke war criminal.

4. Oh, THAT Joe Wilson.............
I thought you meant Congressman Joe "You LIE!" Wilson.

I can imagine W. promoting his book in his usual unintelligible manner while Joe Wilson repeatedly shouts, "You LIE!" off camera.

6. Ain't it grand?
A major criminal can write a book to cash in on his and his cronies crimes and our limp Democrat controlled Dept. of Justice, does nothing. And these fools can't figure out why they just got their collective ass kicked Tuesday? Are you fucking kidding?

8. Yup. Officially sanctioned obstruction of justice
For a cover-up of a crime so heinous, Bush's own father even created a law against it.

19. Yup. And by leaving the fines in place...
...Bush left Libby needing money. I'm sure he found some good friends willing to give it to him.

9. Joe wilson is an angry man, he needs to get on with his life,
every time he throws a tantrum, bush and cheney probably smile at each other.

10. I don't see him as angry
I see him as correcting the public record. But yes, your point is still valid.

18. Oh sure because when someone plays with your family's livelihood and possibly
your spouse's life for political games. One shouldn't get all emotional and shit. What a load of bullshit.

20. "Tantrum"? That's a nice one. And you? Finding it so small-minded, do you
find it a barrel of laughs, too?

11. The movie Fair Game is going to hit general release shortly
and from what I've read gives a fairly accurate rendering of events.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0977855/

It's already generating some Oscar buzz and I imagine that it will have a lot more eyes on it than Bush's book ever has.

15. Bush used the "not pardon" argument as an example to show how he stood up against Cheney.
I believe Cheney was most happy with the commutation in lieu of pardon precisely because of the point that Joe Wilson makes.

The Cheney/Bush maladministration was indeed a wholly owned corporate subsidiary, with Bush as the front man, Cheney pulling the "decider/dissenter's" strings and the corporate PTB pulling Cheney's.

Thanks for the thread, Amerigo Vespucci.
