Please listen to history re corporations taking over the government!
Abraham Lincoln: "Corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong it's reign by working upon the prefudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed."

Theodore Roosevelt: "The citizens of the United States must control the mighty commercial forces which they themselves call into being."

Woodrow Wilson: "Big bisiness is not dangerous because it is big, but because it's bigness is an unwholesome inflation created by privileges and exemptions which it ought not to enjoy."

Dwight Eisenhower: "In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex."

A Literary insight:
Theodore Dreiser: "The govermnent has ceased to function; the corporations are the government."

3. It's like Lincoln had a crystal ball.
Sad that so many in our society are willfully ignorant & proud of it. The People are letting this happen.

6. Here is another more chilling from Thomas Jefferson.
I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.
Thomas Jefferson, (Attributed)
3rd president of US (1743 - 1826

I believe this is really what is going on...we are being slowly put into a society where the wealthy bankers own all the property...a new feudalism.

10. All of these quotes are really telling. Who do you think Jefferson
would have handling the currency. Obviously it doesn't mean that each of us can set up our own currency system - pure chaos.

13. He wanted it controlled by the government.
And was opposed to Madison's idea of private. banks issuing currency.
And the Federal Reserve is controlled by private banks.

9. Mussolini, tells us we should call Fascism Corportatism.
Fascism is the meriger of Business and the state with
the result that Business is in control. It should therefore
be called Corporatism.

Chirp chirp Chirp. The people are being scared against
communism as they possibly walk right into corporatism.

15. It is even more glaringly clear today. The only question is now:
Edited on Tue Nov-09-10 11:41 PM by The Uncola
What are we, as the People of this Nation going to do about it? Obviously, becoming politically active does nothing to stem the tide. One major party is already owned completely by the fascists and the other is well on it's way to being there too.

There are troubled times coming, and it's not clear that this Nation will survive it. I wish it weren't so, but what has happened in the last two years, in light of what happened in the eight proceeding, has proven to me beyond ANY doubt that none of the major figures in either party, give a shit about anything but keeping power and feathering their own nests. Crimes Against Humanity barely raise an eyebrow in soulless cesspool that is Washington DC. People by the millions, losing everything they have worked for their entire lives and our sainted "leaders" fiddle and hold Kabuki Theater dramas to PRETEND they are actually doing something. Assholes, ALL OF 'EM.
