Anyone see David Brock on Olbermann tonight .... ? Video .... ?
AS I UNDERSTOOD WHAT HE WAS SAYING ... CAUSE I DIDN'T PAY IMMEDIATE ATTENTION

TO HIM .....

He is suggesting an organization to fight corporate money coming into elections ---

it sounded to me that it's an advance on Howard Dean's original move to raise money

from internet --

and what he seemed to be saying they'd be pushing wealthy left wingers to contribute --

but it would also be ALL of us -- and we'd disclose -- unlike the right wingers.

Now, if we could combine this idea with Erin Brockovich and a team of lobbyists --

sounds great!

Anyone else see this maybe in a rerun tonight --?

Again, this was my understanding of what he was saying but unfortunately wans't paying

a lot of attention until the last.

------------

This is David Brock -- former Repug -- who began Media Matters --

and who did an abrupt left turn in writing a very anti-Repug book

but chock full of their well financed organizations -- connections and

interconnectdions - astonishing!

Think it's "The Republican Noise Machine" -- -- yep ...

Two by him -- other is "Blinded by the Right" --

His life as a Republican is interesting --

but the second book is a worthy textbook --

You may have to suffer through a brief commercial first.

9. I cannot stand those blue toilet paper bears.
What the hell is that?

A blue cartoon bear singin' like Barry White about toilet paper. There's no hope.

13. whenever I see a face I don't recognize, I almost always try to judge his
affiliation by the way he/she looks

most of the time it works, but there have been many mistakes

it's easier if there's a closeup on the eyes

the mean-spiritedness usually shows through

4. I have read both his books.
Both very enlightening. The Noise Machine is long hard reading, but well worth it. I still go back and look up stuff in it.

and don't own it but just thinking I need to take out of the library

again -- always amazing how much GOP has that they've simply bought -- i.e., EVERYTHING!!

:)

Did you see this ...

Teachers' $500 Billion (and Growing) Pension Problem

http://news.yahoo.com/s/time/20101111/us_time/08599203070800

Many scams with pension funds -- from regulators letting them underpay and therefore many

underfunded -- also Catherine Fitts says pensions funds were used to finance the moving

of jobs overseas!

Imagine the total heist of Treasury/taxpayer money we've had in bailouts -- $12 trillion!!

Financial coup d'etat by right wing.

Guess I'll post that article ?

:)

10. Brock Rocks! I really admire him for founding Media Matters. This is a GREAT thing he's doing.
I read "Blinded by the Right," and it was great to see someone see the light.
