What you need to tell your critter regarding TSA

that this security theater doesn't work. He knows that this goes too far, so he sees this as a chance to move this to the private sector, never mind the private sector would still be required to do this.

Here are some things to point out.

1.- This was actually voted down in the Congress, yet they got the stim money? How?

2.- This violates the fourth amendment.

3.- Security theater does not work.

4.- Other nations are laughing at us, not with us.

and finally.

5.- Time to finally reach for those who have been doing this effectively with few (yes they do have them) civil rights violations. That means using the Israelis, and swallow our damn pride... for deep cultural reasons we like to invent the wheel every time.

We really need to put pressure in more ways than one. Oh and as my hubby pointed out, do call an airline or two and point out why YOU ARE NOT traveling, assuming you are not, or reducing it to the absolute minimum, if you still have to. (I suspect go to meeting will get a boost in bidness, just saying)

1. If our congresscritters had to go through the same (in)security procedures we do
There would be some fast changes.

2. I suspect some do
remember Teddy Kennedy ended on the no flight list repeatedly. In his case I doubt it was because he was the type of terrarist we were all cowed about. It was because he was the kind that could affect the Bush administration.

But a lot of our so-called leaders are also cowed and frightened. I mean, how many of our members of congress have done silly shit like... travel abroad or learn a second language? When Bloomberg pointed out that they are provincial and cannot read, that was a slight exaggeration... and provincial people are more easily cowed from the other...

3. I was thinking you meant my dog and I was going to tell her
to take a good bite out of the bastard.

(I'm assuming they "pat down" pets too.)

4. Yep, could even tell you a story
involving our sun conure at Honolulu... no, she was not patted down, just scared the living daylights out of her.

Suffice it say her dad don't allow her to jump inside his shirt, two exceptions though, one was exactly that... scared bird dove for his shirt.

6. Toomey don't but AA in the aggregate does.
So when AA goes screeching, then and only then Toomey will "care."
