Today's Polls - Rasmussen: Dems win on all 10 issues over Pubs, Bloomberg wins 20%+ of the vote
Triply good news from Rasmussen Reports today. First up, Bloomberg wins a huge percentage of the vote (in terms of being a third-party candidate) in New Jersey. Presumably, this will much, much more watered down in places outside of the Tri-State area (New York, Penn, NJ), but I think it will be helpful nonetheless because New Jersey has become increasingly a light-blue to purple state and Pennsylvania is a swing state right now. This could severely derail Republicans around the country in 2008.

Second up, Rasmussen shows that Dems are trusted on all of the major issues more than Republicans, including National Security:

Issue: Dems Reps

National Security 46% 43%
Taxes 47% 42%
Abortion 45% 38%
Economy 48% 40%
Ethics 43% 32%
War in Iraq 49% 37%
Immigration 47% 33%
Education 50% 35%
Social Security 50% 34%
Healthcare 57% 30%

And thirdly, just for good measure, Edwards crushes both Romney and "conservative Saint" Fred Thompson by 20%+

1. Bloomberg doing well is not necessarily good news for us.

5. Yes, because he could split up liberal and moderate independents who
may otherwise go to Democrats especially on social issues.

support republican positions.

4. By the same token Hillary only beats Romney and Thompson by 3
while Edwards and Obama do much better against them.

6. Bloomberg = John B. Anderson?
Anderson's 1980 campaign hurt Democrats more undoubtedly. Anderson even said that if Kennedy had defeated Carter in the primaries, he would drop out to support him. Bloomberg is a liberal in the context of US politics. I don't think conservatives would vote for him like they did for Perot.
