2. If they do this, if Democrats do not fight like hell to stop it,
if they in any way support it, it will lose them the next several elections and may be the catalyst that breaks the party in two, either driving out the rightwing of the party, recreating it as a party of the people, or they will have succeeded in driving out those who remain committed to the people, but are increasingly opposed within their own party. Either way, this issue effects every single American, young and old.

Not to mention that cutting SS will in no way help to reduce the deficit and should not even be part of that conversation. If anything, the way to help the economy would be to raise benefits, putting more money into the economy, similar to a stimulus package.

I expect to see this Democratic President fight like a tiger to prevent this from happening, if he does not, he will be a one term president. No real Democrat would support this attack on one of the Democratic Party's proudest accomplishments, no way. This will separate Democrats from imposters in the party once and for all.

3. I've written to 'whitehouse.gov' telling him that
he doesn't care.

"I expect to see this Democratic President fight like a tiger to prevent this from happening, if he does not, he will be a one term president. No real Democrat would support this attack on one of the Democratic Party's proudest accomplishments, no way."

Have you heard peep one out of Obama about this? I haven't. Why? He agrees with it. Also with Simpson's assertion that anyone expecting or on SS is 'greedy'. Have you heard Obama say anything about this? Why? Because he agrees with it.

5. All I have heard him say is that he will not support cuts in benefits.
It is what he has not said that is important. He has not said that Democrats will oppose a raise in the Retirement age. Clearly this is a Global Capitalist's way of destroying the social networks in Europe and here in the U.S.

This president is either President of the U.S., or part of the corrupt Global Capitalists who have destroyed the world's exonomy and are now trying to make the working class foot the bill for their criminal enterprises world wide. His actions on this issue will reveal who he really is. No Democratic President will support attacking SS, especially using the lie that it has anything to do with the Deficit, which it does not.
