1. Cutting peoples pay - to give it to the wealthy and corpos for tax cuts and bailouts.

What is wrong with this picture?

And don't forget military spending in the middle east and around the world that must be funded - got to cut peoples pay to do that.

I don't believe it - cutting their pay to fund tax cuts for the wealthy. I simply can't believe it.

3. Not in support of extending unemployment benefits or saving SS. In favor of pay freezes.

And not pay freezes for billionaires. Oh, no. We're working on getting them some tax relief. He wants letters in support of freezing workers' pay.

5. The pay freeze is a weak-assed political ploy by Obama.

He's trying to freeze these worker's wages as a sop to assuage the GOPers and Teabaggers pushing for austerity.

Mr. Obama, THEY DON'T GIVE A FUCK!

As long as any Democrat is in the WH they will attack his budget proposals and seek to gut all social programs regardless of any symbolic measure he offers up. (It sure ain't symbolic to the people who won't be getting any more $.)

6. When Perceptions Backfire...

First...I haven't seen anything that says Federal employees were going to have their wages cut, just frozen. It's disengneuous to try to spin this as more than what it is...and that is a pretty hollow political ploy done out of weakness.

This Administration appears to be getting mixed messages and are reacting in a very knee-jerk and shell-shocked fashion. Supposedly they're "reading" that people want the government to cut spending and this is supposed to make nice to the teabaggers and rushpublicans in hopes they'll let President Obama pass something/anything over the next two years. They won't.

Instead we get the perception of an administration shitting on the little guy while the fat cats get their tax breaks and add billions to the defecit this administration now claims to be trying to address. Futile and it's eroding more of what is existing of his base than gaining any support from "across the aisle".

That's exactly the impression. Sacrifice and belt tightening for the poor, the workers, the middle class, the elderly, and the sick. Tax cuts and a new round of yachts for the billionaires.
