I voted Yes, because the Democrats need to get whatever legislation we can
passed, so we can pass more republican legislation.

5. I Don't Envy Him
He entered office with so much promise. I think the difference between him and FDR and why FDR was given so much more time to deal with a crappy economy is because the ownership of the crappy economy was less ambiguous during FDR's tenure. FDR became president four years after the economy crashed. "Everybody" knew Hoover and the Republicans "owned" it. Obama became president as it was crashing and he's getting the blame for it...

I think you have two challenges and I don't see a happy resolution. President Obama's political fate is inextricably linked to lowering unemployment and I don't see unemployment being lowered during the remaining two years of his term.

6. that is it exactly - and I fault his advisors for not continuing to hammer that message home
regardless of how many jobs were saved - the message from the gop is that nothing has been done to move the unemployment from the mid-9% area.
