Jeb Bush says Obama can win again....
Jeb Bush says Obama can win again, Crist 'not welcome back' into the GOP

eb Bush says President Obama could win re-election in 2012 and that Republicans have yet to offer a “compelling alternative” to current policies.

The former Florida governor also praised Sarah Palin’s political instincts and discounted chances for Charlie Crist to make a political comeback – all part of a wide-ranging interview on Monday with Newsmax TV at its West Palm Beach headquarters.

Asked about Obama’s prospects in 2012, Bush said: “I wouldn’t under-estimate his ability to get re-elected . . . It’s possible he could reassemble the coalition that would allow him to win.”

Bush agreed with Senator-elect Marco Rubio that the 2010 midterms were not so much a Republican victory as a defeat for the status quo.

4. Yeah Obama could win again but what would be the platform? How would he run?
At the rate people are getting disappointed around here, what could he say that could inspire people like he did in 2008? He doesn't even do the big grandeose speaches anymore. There's no inspiration coming from the white house and that's hurt him more than anything the repubs could ever do to him. 2010 should have been a wake up call to Obama because the base completely deserted him and the party.

5. Schwarzenegger: Obama Will Win in 2012
California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger says he is certain that President Barack Obama will get re-elected in two years — even if his own party, the conservative Republicans, turn out to be the victors in midterm Congressional elections in November.

“Obama can watch this casually, knowing that afterwards he will be in a much better position,” he said.

The Republicans have adopted Obama’s health care reforms as their main campaign issue and they would like to roll those changes back after the election. But Schwarzenegger is defending the president against criticism from within the Republican Party. “The conservatives had many years in Washington to push through their reforms,” the governor said. “But what ever happened to the Republican health care reform?”

“I assume that Obama will get a second term in office,” Schwarzenegger told SPIEGEL. Schwarzenegger apparently doesn’t believe the Republicans will succeed in finding a challenger capable of securing a victory against Obama. If Obama’s Democrats lose their current majority in the House of Representatives — a development expected by many — Schwarzenegger says it could actually provide a boost to the US president’s prospects for re-election.
