The things the unemployed need the most **rant and bad language warning**

Things the unemployed don't need:

1. Republicans and Democrats horse-trading their well being to further political agendas.

2. Bullshit sympathy

3. Being blamed for their situation

4. Being told that they should work for fucking peanuts

5. Being put under the gun every few months because politicians wait to the very last minute to squeeze as much pain and concessions from people

6. Being discarded

The unemployed need JOBS!!!!

The unemployed need help getting jobs!!!

The unemployed need a country that invests in them instead of bullshit fake wall street garbage!!!

The unemployed need a chance!!!

Most of these politicians, Democrats as well as Republicans, have treated us like shit! They could not give one flying fuck about us because they are not us. And they will NEVER be in our situation! They attend fucking cocktail parties with their lobbyist friends. They go to their lavish homes on the hill and sleep soundly. They never want for money. They do not suffer the pains of hunger and lost safety.

How do I know they do not care? Because they have done so very little. They do the bare fucking minimum for the unemployed, while their corporate buddies make a mint at our expense.

Fuck you, bullshit self-serving politicians!

4. Great rant
Fact is they don't want to fix unemployment. Companies can get desperate workers for peanuts and treat like them shit. If you don't like it, they'll gladly show you the door because they have 100 people waiting to do your job and they know it.

Remember what it was like under Clinton? Companies were tripping over themselves to offer the best perks to attract workers. Who want to return to that? Certainly not the big money people who have seen their personal assets increase by double digits.

29. Ah...those days under Clinton when they were falling over themselves
for employees. Boy have times changed!

What I'm seeing mostly are a lot of contract jobs. You have no labor law protection. There are companies that exploit this, companies like oDesk which is outsources jobs to a international market. 90% of the employers are from the US, most the workers are from 3rd world countries....imagine that!

"Fail says:
March 3, 2010 at 9:06 am

... The only people that complain, are the ones who are trying to compete globally against people who gladly work for $1.00. Welcome to GLOBAL economy. If you want to get paid more than that, get a job somewhere that 99% of the providers Aren’t looking to outsource. Idiot. All of the large company’s such as HSBC banks and Nokia outsource IT to Bangalore. Why? Because they can do the same work if not better, than YOUR ignorant ass, and go home rich at $1.00/hr."

7. Jobs Jobs Jobs Jobs Jobs Jobs Jobs Jobs Jobs Jobs Jobs Jobs
That's all the unemployed need.

Steady decent paying jobs.

Hell, many would take low paying shitty jobs, working two of them to make up for the low pay.

They (we) just need JOBS!

10. Kicked and recommended, and an idea.
Over a MILLION people will be without unemployment benefits in a few weeks.

There should be a way to get them ALL to Washington.

Have them sit on the steps of the White House and the Capitol until something is done.

26. Need to do what Michael Moore did
A state cut unemployment, so Moore led a group of women into the capitol building equipped with brooms and mops and told the legislators that these "Unemployed mooches and welfare queens" who in reality just couldn't find a job WANTED to work, and so they were going to work at the place that cut their unemployment. The guys were so red in the face and tried to whisper to Moore off camera that they would help.

I forget which movie it was, but it was a pretty good thing to do.

K&R for the thread.

32. I understand exactly what you are saying
and you are right however it's not just cars. Have you tried to buy clothing, household appliances, kitchen ware or most anything that is made in the U.S.A.? It's near impossible to find it! Granted if you search online you MAY be able to but it's buying something without feeling it, trying it on, etc. and it's a pain to return.

I still think that the main issue is outsourcing. We were f***ed with NAFTA and everything that followed. Now it's fair game on almost everyone's job.

14. Agree with everything except the part about them sleeping soundly.
One look at most of them and it seems they have some very unhealthy personal habits, not the least of which is lacking a full night's sleep.

Everything else you said is spot on the mark.

16. I am *SO* right fucking there today too...
The complete disconnect between the asshats in our capitol (both sides) and the REALITY the REST of us are LIVING is complete bullshit. and the RW propaganda machine has convinced how many more to turn their backs on those in need as well?

I am tired of the vilification of the impoverished. I am enraged that there are people that will be starving and homeless this winter because of a debate that makes NO SENSE.

you can't have endless wars and endless tax cuts for richfolk and expect the machine not to break down...unfortunately, the breaking down takes place on OUR backs!

:nuke:

I am LIVID that the bastards in power are so disconnected from reality to understand

fuck these fuckers all the way to the poor house, let them see how it feels to wonder how you will feed your family when the food stamps run out a week before the end of the month!!!!

22. Bring back our 20,000,000+ jobs from slave labor countries.
I've heard a statistic that said doing so would bring the unemployment rate down to a somewhat acceptable 3.6%.
