Denver police investigate case of towed baby
Denver police investigate case of towed baby

Associated Press December 1, 2010 04:34 PM

A Denver tow truck driver hauled away a car blocking a garage downtown, but unknowingly took along a passenger: a 9-month-old girl.

The towing company says the car was taken two miles to a tow yard Tuesday night.

According to the company, the baby girl was in a car seat covered in blankets and no one knew she was in there until the mother called a half-hour later looking for her child.

Police Detective John White tells KMGH-TV that paramedics checked the girl, and she was fine. An investigation is continuing.

The baby was returned to the mother, whose name hasn't been released.

2. I'm not going to lie.
I'm a good mother, who is almost done raising 2 beautiful, healthy daughters. On an occasion or 2 I would lock my sleeping baby in the car, run into the convenience store(where it would cost more, but I could see my car the whole time) and grab the milk or diapers or whatever thing I needed badly enough to leave a sleeping baby alone for 90 seconds. But not once, never, ever would it take me HALF AN HOUR TO FIGURE OUT MY KID WAS GONE!!!! What is wrong with people?!?!?!?!
