More than 120 dogs seized from Indiana puppy mill

Officials have seized more than 120 dogs from a rural Bloomfield dog breeding operation in Greene County, Ind., that the Humane Society of the United States calls a puppy mill.

The Indiana attorney general's office says the business was raided for failing to pay sales tax on the dogs, which cost hundreds of dollars each.

The state says breeder Darlene Clark with Love My Pets owes more than $300,000 in delinquent sales and income taxes and did not register her business with the State Board of Animal Health as required by state law.

The Associated Press left a message seeking comment with Clark. Clark's website listed photos of Maltese, Shih Tzus, pugs and poodles available and said she considers her "furry friends" family.

The seized dogs were taken to shelters in Bloomington for medical care.
