1. Doesn't matter if he is. Ohio voted for Kasich the Fascist instead.

While Strickland wasn't spectacular, blaming him for Ohio's job losses was patently silly considering he inherited a bad economy in a mostly-Republican-run state. During that time, corporatists took over and unleashed the morass you see today. Sherrod Brown remains the only Democrat dotting this sorry state's Republican-stenched high offices for the past decade.

2. Just read he had a 10:15 meeting with the President this morning. Strickland was

quoted in an article yesterday, as being "dumbfounded" by how the tax debate was playing out.

3. Honestly

He was a bit of a victim of the Bush economy. Made big promises that sounded great to get elected, then the crash happened making it kind of difficult to do much of anything to fix the problems left over from the disastrous Taft governorship. Almost had a nice comeback in the governor race when people started realizing what a corporate d-bag Kasich was. But a little too little too late.

5. He was fresh out of the crib when he snuggled up with Hillary.

It was not a good scene. This fall he lost to a Rethug after an ongoing series of awful commercials. Ohio is not know for brilliant voters. Needless to say we are stuck once again in Rethuglican *ell. Our last Governor was Taft (R) and he drove the state into the ditch for 8 years and Strickland was supposed to restore the state overnight. The usual scenario it seems. I call him bobble head Ted because when he endorsed Hill he stood by her bobbing his head like an idiot.

6. He only got elected in '06 because he was running against Ken Blackwell;,

it was a fluke 'win' for Dems in Ohio -but I wouldn't hold my breath that it'll happen again any time soon.

7. Here is one thing that seems important in the Ohio elections.

For sometime it has concerned me that the Democratic
Party always waits until September October to really
engage in campaigning.

In Ohio, the Republicans running for office had commercials
on the air slamming Democrats, blaming Strickland for
job lost(which had occurred before he even took office.
Slamming Fisher likewise. The airways had been filled
with these commercials for months before the Democrats
even began to fight back. The Narrative was out there
and had stuck because no one fought back and tried to
change the narrative.

We simply cannot continue year after year to give
the Republicans a head start and expect to overtake
them and win. Too little too late is not a winning
strategy anywhere.
