Walker will donate excess inauguration funds to campaign fund and GOP
That figures;

MADISON -- Republican Gov.-elect Scott Walker plans to give any excess money raised for his inauguration to his campaign fund and the state Republican Party -- instead of to charity -- in a move that drew ridicule Wednesday.

Outgoing Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle donated all the extra money raised for his two inaugurations to the nonprofit Boys and Girls Clubs, and the state Democratic Party said Walker's decision was especially selfish considering the economy.

But it seems that the majority of voters in Wisconsin prefer dicks. Hope they're very happpy with their choice.

5. Nothing is sure in politics anymore
But Scott Walker is starting out by showing what a doofus he is. He campaigned on using the high-speed rail money for roads, and after the election found he couldn't do that. So the state may have to pay back the funds already spent ($200 million?) and lose the predicted thousands of jobs that would go with the project. He promised to create 250,000 new jobs during his term (that would be about 6 percent of the adult population of Wisconsin--good luck to him when his colleagues in Washington are blocking every sensible method of stimulating the economy). That's just during the transition so far. Based of his near destruction of Milwaukee County during his time as county executive, it doesn't look good. I have some hope that Wisconsin voters will come to their senses before the end of his four years. There is also provision in state law for recall. That would be sweet, considering that he came to power in Milwaukee County after he won a recall election for executive.
