One of the major players in the effort was Bill Clinton. Plus there was a videotaped message from President Obama to the voters of FIFA.

I would assume with the US not getting the 2022 event even with these efforts, many a right winger are probably touching themselves with glee.

8. I don't follow baseball
Is there still a Canadian franchise? Or did we get rid of them because Canada is no longer part of our "world"

to everyone else except the US.

FIFA = Fédération Internationale de Football Association

Football is a game played with a football and feet.

American Rugby aka American football is played with a Rugby ball, with more breaks for your adverts and protective clothing.

13. 'Soccer' is a British nickname for association football that was adopted by Americans.
The sport is also called "soccer" in Australia and New Zealand.

I am here so it is soccer, it is still a boring ass game and most Americans still don't care about the "world cup."

16. "Football" just means any sport played on foot, without reference to any specific ball.
Edited on Thu Dec-02-10 03:46 PM by Hosnon
American football, non-American football/soccer, and rugby all may rightly be called "football".

5. Just like the Olympics Bid
Remember when Chicago didn't get the Olympics. Every right-winger posted how happy they were that both Obama and Oprah were denied. It was so petty. And so Anti-American!!
