Color me very skeptical...
...On these taxcuts for the middle class.

Both Parties want the taxcuts for the wealthy. They are simply trying to figure out the best way to do it without losing face or credibility.

They will go thru the motions of having a debate and finally settle on extending taxcuts for the wealtiest, even though there is no evidence the taxcuts have created even one job. Democrats will portray themselves as defenders of the middle class and Republicans will portray themselves as defenders of lower taxes and small businessmen.

It is nothing more than kabuki theater. All wind and fury, full of drama, signifying nothing.

I wish I thought otherwise.

1. I really hope you are wrong. I don't see why it would even come up
if they get this middle class cut through this weekend.

2. Kabuki.. nope...
American professional wrasslin' maybe, but not kabuki.

All the moves are perfected and agreed upon beforehand. The suckers in the crowd love it.

Kabuki is too refined. Murikans like all the sweating and posturing and threatening of the phony "heroes" and "bad guys".

I sure wish I thought otherwise.

My best guess.... Two year extension of the tax cuts for the rich... one year extension of unemployment. Maybe a six month extension.

Whatever, it's all choreographed and rehearsed.

6. Congress will be sure to make the millionaires tax cuts...
permanent. After all(conflict of interest?), they are all--or most of them are--millionaires are they not?

A pox on all their houses.

4. Reminds me of last year
This reminds me of the bills last year. Remember health care? Anyway I thought everyone including the rich were getting the same tax cut up to 250k. They shouldn't complain. The unemployed are not making any money, so they don't really benefit either. This is another trade off for what a couple more months of unemployment benefits. I'm really getting disappointed in our democrats, they need to show some ass and stand up for the little people. Me and my husband are lower middle-class - together we make only 50k. If they let all the tax cuts expire it would not be that much of a loss to us.

8. The White House is not exempt...
from the passion play taking place. Sometimes we just have to take a stand. Just ask Rosa Parks.

7. There has been a lot of theatre lately - taxes, groping at the airports,
much distraction ... makes me wonder what they're really up to.
