My rep voted against the 4.5 billion child nutrition bill yesterday. He was right.
As he says, it's a good bill, but over half its cost is going to be paid for by cuts to food stamps. What fucking sense does that make?

. . . the food stamp fund hasn't actually been cut yet, and the promise which satisfied many of the holdout legislators is that the money will be restored before that actually happens. We'll see. The cuts to the food stamp program do not take effect until 2013.
